With 13 beautifully appointed bedrooms, and located just a couple of miles from Tunbridge Wells in Penshurst, Kent, the Leicester Arms Hotel opened its doors in December 2013
The hotel boasts roaring log fires, a great bar menu, local draft ales, lagers and ciders together with an extensive hand picked wine list.
Proprietor Julian Leefe-Griffiths, a veteran restaurateur, needed a proven, cost effective and guest-focused EPoS system for the busy F&B operation and sought an integrated PMS to manage the rooms businessKeen to minimise his reliance on IT infrastructure in the hotel, he selected Xn Hotel Systems to implement their hybrid EPoS system (local intelligence at the till level to remove the risk of interruption to trading, with the browser-based back office module ‘above property’ and hosted by Xn)Alongside this, protel Air, a rapidly maturing, cloud native PMS was also implemented by Xn, becoming the third UK property to install the system in recent months.
“I’ve used alternative systems in my other restaurants, but it was important for the Leicester Arms to have a fully integrated EPoS/PMS solution from a single supplier”, stated Leefe-Griffiths“Xn installed the systems at short notice and with minimal fuss and have been quick to help us with queries and fine tuning as the business has bedded in.”
“We’re delighted to count a cloud-based PMS from protel in our portfolio of hotel systems, alongside the more established protel SPE/MPE”, stated Alan O’Riordan, MD, UK & Europe, Xn Hotel Systems“protel Air has now been installed in over 150 sites, from smaller properties, such as the Leicester Arms, to hotels with over 100 roomsThe solution is being developed rapidly and is fast becoming suitable for medium to larger sized properties.“
